The Civil Contractors Federation (SA branch) approached The Digital Embassy to design their new website. The website would become a primary information resource for members while also supporting eCommerce functionality to allow membership and other products to be purchased online.
All new website architecture was to be developed to follow a 3 click approach for ease of use while the interface design would need to be compliant with CCF SA’s existing corporate style guide an mobile devices. New functionality would be required including the integration of online services including the GetResponse email tool to create targeted email campaigns, and the Eventbrite for event promotion and management.
The South Australian branch of the Civil Contractors Federation (CCF SA) represents and promotes the civil construction industry within the state. As the peak industry body, CCF SA has over 550 members. These members employ up to 20,000 South Australians who work in the development and maintenance of civil infrastructure. CCF SA plays a primary role in working with both public and private sector clients in infrastructure delivery.
The challenge was to build a complete mobile friendly website solution to serve CCF SA as the focal point for new promotional campaigns and increase the level of user engagement between members and the organisation.
The new website needed to support an all-new information architecture which would utilise a 3 click approach, providing members and prospects with fast and intuitive access to information. Compliance with CCF SA’s existing corporate brand style guidelines was also required when styling the new website interface.
A further requirement was the integration of an effective event promotion and management tool as part of the website’s functionality, along with an advanced email system for developing targeted email campaigns.
The Digital Embassy developed a new responsive website solution for CCF SA based on an all-new information architecture which was developed using wireframes. This information architecture provides CCF SA members and prospects with simplified access to relevant information and adheres to the 3 click approach. The interface was expertly tailored to deliver maximum impact while complying with corporate style guidelines of CCF SA.
An online store has been integrated with the website allowing CCF SA to create products which can be sold online. Prospective members can easily join online and pay for their membership immediately via the integrated online store which is facilitated by the Paystream gateway.
The new interface design was designed to place more emphasis on the use of fresh content and utilises strategic placement of various “Calls to action” to increase engagement, conversions and SEO performance. Events are managed through the integration of the Eventbrite tool which simplifies online event management for CCF SA. The GetResponse email tool was chosen to develop campaigns that will drive traffic to relevant topic pages and website actions.
The new CCF SA website now serves as a focal point of the organisation. Promotional campaigns and targeted content can now be easily developed to increase user engagement from both desktop and mobile devices. The strategic placement of “call to actions” have assisted in the capture of leads and an increase in membership enquiries and sign ups. Marketing functionality and effectiveness has been substantially upgraded by the integration of smart email marketing and event management software, which are driving traffic to the relevant topic pages, website actions and event promotions.
