Still remembering when...

Remember when the interweb thingy was new?  When surfing the net was a strange concept?  And when browsers were very different?

Remember when the interweb thingy was new ?  When surfing the net was a strange concept ?  And when browsers were very different ?

You'd be showing your age if you can remember some of these early web browsers:

  • Nexus (originally WorldWideWeb)
  • Erwise
  • Mosaic
  • Netscape Navigator
  • Internet Explorer
  • Opera

Once the proverbial bandwagon was well and truly jumped on and the internet morphed into more of what we are used to in this day and age, companies bought companies, changed names, improved services and some of the now more well known browsers emerged and are still with us today, including:

  • Firefox
  • Safari
  • Chrome

Microsoft has finally discontinued Internet Explorer and with the release of Windows 10 comes what Microsoft are hoping is the new generation of browser - 'Edge'.
