Last night (Wednesday, October 9) saw The Digital Embassy picking up multiple accolades at the Australian Web Awards with the agency receiving recognition for creating the best South Australian eCommerce website with the Mollydooker Wines website as well as receiving an honourable mention in the ‘Government’ category for the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology's 'Skills for All'  website.

The Mollydooker Website was one of the more complex projects the agency had undertaken with technology usually seen in video games being used to help give the site it’s creative flair. The website has received both critical and commercial acclaim with its fun ‘Alice in Wonderland’ styling and highlights Mollydooker’s wacky sense of humour and creativity.

Gerard O’Connor, The Digital Embassy CEO, stated ‘we were lucky to have a client who was willing to be so creative and let us run with the design and implementation. That willingness to cooperate has led to a brilliant website which has now been recognised by the Australian Web Awards. ’

The hotly contested award for ‘best government website’ saw The Digital Embassy tie with The Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology (DFEEST) to claim the runner-up and receive an honorary mention for the ‘Skills for All’ website. The website was a collaboration between The Digital Embassy and DFEEST and a great example of delivering a clean looking website with advanced functionality to literally serve hundreds of thousands of visitors.

The Digital Embassy’s Head of Production and Creative Services Shane Pike worked closely on the project and was thrilled with the award. “The Skills for All site was great to be a part of as it is such a unique opportunity to provide complex yet practical functionality in a website that is going to help so many users.”

The awards highlight the digital Agency’s new mantra “Victory Begins Here” and are a great way to cap off what’s been a very exciting relaunch.
